So in my mind, he comes off as a sleazy as much as possible. Personally, the way he makes money off NOT being in the HoF just annoys me.

I mean, he does commercials where is wife says he shouldn't "be in the Hall" all tongue in cheek. It's not like the Hall is some noble place, but just continue making money off not being in the Hall for all I care.

Anon, those guys pretty much all deserve it. If Rose was reinstated, imagine the battle for him to be elected or not. It would be epic.Bengoodfellahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09401971573776672570noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-102327997051254703.post-91777592461145305162014-12-23T11:54:48.476-05:002014-12-23T11:54:48.476-05:00I'd like to reinstate Pete Rose, and then not ...I'd like to reinstate Pete Rose, and then not vote for him for the Hall of Fame. This year's ballot is absolutely loaded, and I'd have no problem voting for Randy Johnson, Pedro Martinez, Curt Schilling, Mike Mussina, Roger Clemens, Barry Bonds, Jeff Bagwell, Mike Piazza, Larry Walker and Edgar Martinez instead.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-102327997051254703.post-74177080684609716632014-12-22T09:40:21.890-05:002014-12-22T09:40:21.890-05:00Baseball wants Pete Rose to suffer? Geez if there...Baseball wants Pete Rose to suffer? Geez if there is one thing I can't stand in sportswriting it is moral grandstanding and intense hyperbole. Pete Rose is not some POW and MLB is not the Viet-Cong. I don't hate Pete Rose but I think it's important to remember that the only time Rose ever admitted to betting on baseball was when he had a book to sell. So in my mind he decided to come clean when he could benefit from it monetarily, not so noble of an act. I don't even think he's actually sorry that he bet on baseball I think he's just sorry that he got caughtChrisnoreply@blogger.com
