Koleslaw, I can't believe Dylan publicly revealed his bracket.
I am not a huge Big East fan either, but we will see. You have to figure Dylan, he lives up north where all you hear is how good the Big East is until the Final Four when an ACC team ends up winning the national title. So he's getting bad information.
ugh, fuck that Southeast bracket. I'm pretty sure that's the weakest set of top seeds I've seen in a while--it looks like whoever wins that Butler/ODU game actually has a good shot at the Elite 8. I think I have BYU beating Butler in the regional finals in that one; I really don't know who else to go with there.
I'm pretty sure Dylan went with Cuse in the final. EAST COAST BIAS! also, grow a pair and pick some upsets.
Ivn, ouch. That's brutal. I have to be honest, in my bracket at work I picked Utah State to be in the Elite Eight, but I think I picked Wisconsin in the BotB bracket. I hate it when a person has too many brackets and sort of plays the odds like that.
I have Syracuse losing to Indiana State, so I am going to look like an ass or Dylan is going to lose his championship game pick.
I can't believe Dylan isn't here to defend himself. Grow a pair? Ouch!
This picking a bracket thing is shit before they do the stupid play in games.
VCU and USC are NOTHING alike in terms of being able to pull an upset. USC has a decent shot at beating Georgetown I'd say. VCU? They shouldn't even be in the tourney probably. Definitely not ahead of a couple other teams. They don't have a shot at Georgetown. They might be able to beat USC, who have had some spotty guard play lately, but I would never choose them ahead of Georgetown in a bracket. I would chose USC because the best way to win brackets is to find the upsets other people ignore. I can't seperate my picks though, until one team wins it seems. LAME!! Damn you NCAA and your shoving 4 more teams into the Tourney ways!
Martin F, I really struggled with the four additional teams too. It's hard for me to pick a USC/Georgetown game or a Georgetown/VCU game. I know it may not seem different, but the tourney is all about matchups and so if my First Four pick is wrong, so could my next pick concerning the winner of the First Four game and the next round game.
I picked Georgetown to beat USC, but I don't know if I feel comfortable with that now. I don't like having multiple brackets, but I also tend to look at my bracket until Thursday morning and then turn it in. I feel like 36 hours was a bit too short of time to look at my bracket and pick the games.
I actually did some last minute tinkering, so what put up there is not completely accurate. That said, my tinkering didn't do much. Although the VCU didn't hurt me as much, I made some dumb changes that I should have left alone. Such as most 8/9 games.
Wow. Favor the Big East much? :D
ReplyDeleteI have this feeling that teams like Notre Dame and Georgetown are going to lay an egg.
You didn't pick a champion.

Anon, I noticed that too! Dylan pick a champion!

I meant to pick Kansas. My fault for the confusion. I'm in Miami on vacation, so I apolgoize for the potential mishaps.
ReplyDeleteDylan, I like Kansas too. Being on vacation is no excuse for not picking a champion. You left us all in suspense!
ReplyDeleteWell, VCU made us look silly.
