I'm very interested in the Mavs/Lakers game tonight, so much so that I'm not watching Bulls/Hawks (I have it on in the other room) because NBA basketball kinda burns me out after a while.

The swagger/arrogance of the Lakers fans is kinda funny. I can't even think of a word that described them the other night. Lethargic? They shot terribly, they missed rotations on O and D, they let Nowitski (and everyone else on the Mavs) pretty much do whatever they wanted. The Lakers are going to have a tough time tonight w/o Artest.

That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if the Mavs win tonight, and I hope they do. I'm kinda peeved with teams that are arrogant or have arrogant fan bases. I'm a Cubs fan (we have no right to be arrogant) and a Steelers fan (I really feel like the Steelers are fairly low on the "arrogance meter", correct me if I'm wrong) and I'm sort of a Celtics fan.

I know a guy who lives near to me (Louisville, KY area) who is a fan of the Yankees, the Lakers, and the Cowboys. Can you say frontrunner? He's totally stopped rooting for the Cowboys over the last few years. I'm sure he's contemplating being a Packers fan.

Sheesh, I've really turned this comment into a horrible rambling. Sorry!

Koleslaw, I am not a Lakers fan at all. I don't like them and never have. James Worthy went to my HS, then to UNC, and then to the Lakers. I pretty much hate him.

Steelers fans can be kind of arrogant, but mostly I find those fans that are arrogant are the ones that are new fans to a team and the arrogance is a reflection of their need to prove their loyalty to the team. It's that way with a lot of teams. The NBA playoffs interest me a lot. I don't particularly enjoy watching the Hawks play though.

Bryce Harper in an interview said his favorite teams were: Yankees, Duke, Cowboys, Lakers, and one other team I can't remember. THAT'S a front runner.

I don't mind if someone likes those teams with some consistencies in the area they live in. My football teams originate from the mid-90's when I started to get into football, at least my college team does.

Go Mavericks! I think the Thunder can take them and then that means I am closer to getting my finals pick right.

Terry Francona is the best damn manager the Sox ever had. I hope they keep around until he calls it quits

Anon, Francona may be a good manager but I think Crawford needs to be given an extended shot further up in the order. Give him time. Some free agents do struggle with their new team starting out.
